Do I Really Want PDAs in the Classroom?

Okay, so I’m looking over what I wrote and I’m thinking to myself-“A computer (My MAC that I love and will never give up. Also, I have 4 desktops and 3 laptops in my room all supported by the district.) can do all the same things at the same time being easier to keyboard on, has a bigger screen, and is more powerful; yet, the PDA is smaller, more portable, and cheaper, and then I weigh the maintenance/upkeep/protection factor in and I’m not sure that I HAVE to have PDAs in the classroom. I think I would rather have some of the newest MACs in my room. Apple IS trying to make smaller computers as in the Airbook. Even though I think PDAs are so cool and fun to play, I’m thinking it’s not necessary to implement. Someone convince me otherwise!
