101 Educational Uses for the PDA

Kathy Schrock has a great list of articles related to educators using handhelds in the classroom at http:/kathyschrock.net/power/. One of the links is to an article named "101 Great Educational Uses for Your Handheld Computer." Some of the ideas that intrigued me were (1)keeping your schedule, (2) instantly accessing student information, such as schedules, demographics,or parent contacts, (3) storing and accessing lesson plans, (4) sending/retrieving email, (5) scheduling group meetings, (6) exchanging information with a colleague, (7) taking and storing digital photos for a project, (7) making a concept map summarizing a chapter, (8) recording observations on a field trip, (9) looking up a word in a dictionary, (10) doing research on the web, (11) practicing multiplication tables, and (12) building vocabulary through word games. It was hard to narrow down my list as there was so many educational uses of the PDA. I think it's one of the coolest new technologies to hit the classroom!
